Failure teaches success.
失敗は成功のもと。。
先日納品が終わったリバーシブルジャケットでの大失敗。。
縫製が全て終わり、ボタン付けの準備に取り掛かろうとした所、何かがおかしい。
襟が反対についている事が発覚。。
リップストップと花柄のリバーシブルジャケットなのですが、リップストップ面を着ると襟だけ花柄。。
また、反対に花柄面で着ると襟だけリップストップ。。
チーン。。
はい。しばらく時が止まりました。
気を取り直し、どのように直すかを考え、縫製の反対、糸を解く作業（修行）を開始。
修正するには、裾（すそ）を開いて、ジャケットを裏返し襟を一度外して、反対にして付け直し、その後再び裾を縫製。
糸を解く作業は、縫製の何倍も時間がかかり１着の裾を開けるのに20分はかかります。。
60着ほどのジャケットの裾を解く作業は１週間かかりました（苦笑）。
反対についてしまった襟を付け直し、また裾を縫製し直して、ようやくボタン付けを開始。
袖（そで）のボタン付けは機械が使えず、手で縫い付けます。修行は続きます。
その後、胸にステンシル。
一人作業でどのように手を汚さず、ステンシルを入れて、ハンガーに干して、次のジャケットをセッティングするか、、
考えながら、実験を重ね、なんとか完成！
今回も、とても学びの多いお仕事となりました。
リバーシブルジャケットのえり付けは、２度と間違えません。。

A big mistake with the reversible jackets that was delivered the other day...
When all the sewing was finished and I was about to start preparing for buttoning, something was wrong.
I found that the collar was on the opposite side. ..
It is a reversible jacket with a ripstop and a floral pattern, but when you wear the ripstop surface, only the collar has the floral pattern... On the other hand, if you wear it with the floral pattern, only the collar has the ripstop...
Time has stopped for a while...
I regained my mind, thought about how to fix it, and started the work to untie the thread, which is the opposite of sewing.
To fix it, open the hem, flip the jacket over, remove the collar, reverse it and re-sew it, then sew the hem again.
The work of untying the thread takes many times longer than sewing, and it takes 20 minutes to open the hem of one piece...
It took a week to untie the hem of about 60 jackets...
I reattached the collar that had been attached to the opposite side, re-sewed the hem, and finally started attaching buttons.
Buttons on the sleeves cannot be machined and are sewn by hand. Work continues...
Then stenciled on the jacket chest.
Thinking about how to work alone, put a stencil, hang it on a hanger, and set the next jacket without getting your hands dirty.
The jacket were completed through various processes.
This time, it was a really learning job.
I will never mistake the collaring of a reversible jacket again ;)
